For 67 years we have provided marine pleasure craft insurance to thousands of satisfied customers and have long been established as a name you can trust for boat insurance. Reluctantly we have decided to withdraw from the marine insurance market with effect from1st April 2025. This follows changes in the insurance market that have made it challenging for small firms such as ours to deliver the products and service to our customers in the way that we would like.
We have chosen to partner with Noble Marine as they have similar values to those that Newton Crum was built on, and remain a privately owned, independent marine insurance provider and enthusiastic supporters of the boating community. Importantly, like Newton Crum, Noble marine has their own in-house marine claims team who are rated 5 Star on TrustPilot.

At Noble Marine we have been providing surfboard and sailboard insurance for over 25 years, more recently we have started providing SUP insurance too.
Whatever your level or discipline we can provide you with the insurance you need. We automatically include competition insurance as standard so if you’re relaxing near home with friends or competing in the Boardmasters at Fistral beach we’ve got you covered.
If you have multiple boards you can insure them all under a single policy and you’ll get a 12.5% multiboat discount too. If your renewal dates are spread out over different dates you can start with one board and then add the others as they fall due, you will receive your discount on the overall policy premium as soon as you add the second and subsequent boards. If you have a mixture of boards and craft types you can add those too saving even more money – anything from your board to a racing yacht can be insured in one place.
